Part 1 - TEENAGER'S PROSPECTIVE
Part 2 - PARENTS IDEOLOGY
PART - 2
And in all this we forget a thing.
That we belong to a Indian family where love marriages are not acceptable very easily in every house!
Your love affairs get somehow caught by your own mischiefs or maybe by your clever parents!! Then drama goes on some days in your house and you are obviously quarantined for few days. You are left to be isolated from this outer world. Your phones are snatched away. You lose contact even to your friends. You are not allowed to go out from your house untill it's too urgent. Yes, at that point life sucks!! You feel as if everything is over and you can't be back normal to your life. You just wait for the things to be alright again. And as usual , nothing is permanent. So again your love life BLOSSOMS. But this blossoms are of low frequency as compared to earlier.
I agree that some parents have changed their ideology and are with their child's decision, but majority of the parents are in a constant fear of insults and impression of society that will be formed after this happens!! It creates a havoc in their own lives!!!
Yes I agree with the parents. The ones who are being nurturing us and fulfilling all our desires and never leaves our side whatever shit happens!! Do they expect a love affair in return from you? As a return gift!??
Seems funny and very simple to us in this age. We think that it's not a big deal in a love marriage. But for an instance, have a check on parent's situation. Is this acceptable for them!??
They also have their dreams of seeking a dream boy/girl for their so called GOLD(you).
I'm not opposing a love marriage. But just want to say that parents should be your first priority. If you can leave your parents for your future partner, obviously you can also leave them for seeking another!!
The reason behind a big NO from your parents are like:
Maybe there are differences in their opinions. Your parents are not agreed with this affairs at this teenage when it's the time to build a career for yourself. Maybe there are clashes between the families for lifestyle and standard of living. Not only this but also the families find it very difficult to adopt the new person and adapt to their cultural behavior.
The different rituals, festivals, customs, upbringing and also the language difference, caste difference adds up to the clashes in the love marriages.
As it is said, “In India, the marriage is not only between the two-persons, its a marriage between two families”. So it is very necessary for a neutral decision to be taken, which is contented for both the sides .
According to a 2012 study by Statistic Brain, the global divorce rate for arranged marriages was 6% --- a significantly low number. Compared to the 55% of marriages in the world that are arranged. This low statistics shows the success rate of arranged marriages.
Undoubtedly, Love marriages can also be successful. But chosing a right partner at an immature age becomes fallacious. Not necessarily it's always wrong. But love marriages with arranged pattern are also the good ones , when parents are with your side.
EVERY ARRANGED MARRIAGE IS NOT ENDING IN DIVORCE AND EVERY LOVE STORY MAY NOT HAVE AN HAPPY ENDING.
ITS WRONG TO MARRY AGAINST YOUR PARENTS' WISHES, BUT IT IS EQUALLY WRONG TO MARRY SOMEONE AGAINST YOUR OWN WISHES TOO!!!
