THE GENERATION GAP

The circumstances we all are facing, but during this lockdown mainly.

Bcoz the time we start investing more time to someone, it creates more havoc in life!

This lockdown has brought us and parents much closer. But this feels just up to some days. After that the real Mahabharata starts!!

Days pass on!

You start getting irritated if parents cling it to a single issue. The ones who are having the habit of living and doing their chores alone gets huffy easily. And the real warriors are the ones who are laziest (almost all of us are included in this category) get outraged due to taunts and frequent touches of sarcasm!!!

The most common issues include:

✓ Choice of friends - Our parents sometimes think that we have chosen some bad ones to rely up on! It's not necessary that they are completely right or wrong everytime. They would be right and maybe we realise it later.

✓ Some habits like waking up late , not helping them in regular basics stuffs , taking bath at evening, stucked with the phone whole of the time, staying awoke late nights etc. And the whole culprit of this is MOBILE. And that moment becomes unbearable for all of us. And we want to just escape from this talks and want a peaceful place.

✓ Exam Results - This is the best stage to start giving a long speech which ends after an hour or two. The most freaky moment for all of us!

✓ Clothing - Restrictions includes in some families. What to wear and what not to in functions, parties or other outings.

✓ Addiction - Some habits like smoking and alcohol drinking includes in it.

✓ Mood swings - The adolescent people in this stage behave accordingly to their moods. What is happening in their social life, with their friends. In short, its all upto their atmosphere which they live in!!

This all are some issues which creates a fully controversial conversation between them. (But though we laugh it loud on memes for the same thing)

We want to start living as if we want more freedom and privacy. People living in hostels can relate to it more precisely!

No, I don't have any hatred towards my parents. I just want to draw your attention to the consequences of this issue.

The new ideas and imaginary theories are always welcomed in the so-called new generation. And on the same side, our parents have their own mythology which their parents have been steering the past years! When these personal views interact at a common stage, clashes occur. They do not hit a common solution and start distancing themselves from each other.

Both sides think that they are right in their place. And they are not wrong too!

But the thing something to rectify is ACCEPTANCY AND UNDERSTANDING.

Parents should not give the burden of their expectations on the children And vice versa. Bcoz this change happens due to whirling of the opinions and persuasions.

THIS IS NOT A GENERATION GAP,

ITS AN IDEOLOGY GAP!!

So try to give some time to your parents and try to understand their point of view and make them understand yours too. Bcoz if this gap increases in a short time, the day would not be far when parents and children would be living in a different house in their teenage ages!!

BOTH SIDES OF THE ARGUMENTS HAVE THEIR OWN INDIVIDUAL THOUGHTS, AND WE SHOULD NOT RESTRICT IT IN A BOX ASSUMING THAT WE ARE RIGHT!!!
